Albus Dumbledore

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore (August 3, 1881 – June 30, 1997) is one of the main characters in the Harry Potter series. He is one of the major characters of the "Fantastic Beasts" series. Dumbledore is the tritagonist of The Sorcerer's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, and The Half-Blood Prince, and a posthumous protagonist in The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and The Deathly Hallows Part 2, as well as one of the secondary tritagonists of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. In the films, Dumbledore is portrayed by the late Richard Harris in Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets and by Sir Michael Gambon in the rest of the series. His younger self is portrayed by Jude Law in Crimes of Grindelwald.

In the Harry Potter films, Dumbledore was played by the late actor Richard Harris in the adaptations of The Philosopher's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets, whilst Michael Gambon played him in the remaining films after Harris's death.
